What made you choose to work at GoldenWolf?
Before retiring from the Army Medical Command, I knew about GoldenWolf as they participated on our weekly planning calls with the Defense Health Agency Facilities Enterprise (DHA-FE). I was quite impressed with GoldenWolf’s knowledge and professionalism during those calls. So, when I mentioned that I was planning to retire back in 2016, and GoldenWolf reached out to me and offered me a position, I jumped at the chance to be part of such reputable organization.

What does the typical workday look like for you?
My activities primarily involve supporting DHA-FE’s Facilities Operations Branch from a strategic planning aspect that includes helping to develop policy and standardized processes and procedures. I love what I do so much, that I tend to get so immersed in the project that I don’t want to stop. I like to joke by saying that now that I am retired from Civil Service, I only work half days… 12 hours!

What is your favorite aspect about your job?
I really enjoy our team, both those at GoldenWolf and with DHA-FE. I also love the challenge of work each day. Literally building an organization from the ground up.

What is one piece of advice you would give yourself starting in this role for the first time?
Things change, and you have to be adaptive. Don’t have “Paralysis by Analysis” in other words don’t be afraid of the quick 80% solution. A lot of times the 100% solution takes way too long to develop, and the situation will most likely change by then anyway.

What is your favorite movie?
The Original Star Wars. When it first came out, I was in college, and my fraternity brothers and I would go down to the local theater and see it every Friday night for close to a year.

If you woke up on a Friday to find you had the day off, how would you spend the day?
I’d go play a round of golf.
