How did your career path lead you to GoldenWolf?
I worked for the Department of Navy for 17 years, followed by the Architect of the Capital for 19 years. During that time, I developed experience in project, construction, and facility management. During my time there, I worked with [President] Sabrina Wolfersberger’s husband, Trent, himself an engineer. After I retired from the Architect of the Capital in 2019. Trent reached out to see if I’d be interested in joining the team and that is how I ended up here.

What is the most challenging part of your job?
Helping DHA overcome changes in their personnel. Aiding them through the transition has been a tough but rewarding job.

What is your favorite aspect about your job?
The folks on the Strategic Planning and Asset Management teams are talented, passionate, and professional. It helps make my job much easier. Additionally, working with DHA’s Susan Baker has been great — she is a terrific and knowledgeable person.

What is one piece of advice you would give yourself starting in this role for the first time?
I was used to going to the office for long hours all day, but since COVID-19, it has mainly been telework. It takes a completely different skill set, with staff located all over the country, so I’d prepare myself more for that adjustment.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement so far at GoldenWolf?
The Strategic Planning and Asset Management teams have performed at such high levels; they have earned follow-up contracts every year that I have been here. That’s, by far, my greatest achievement.

What is the last book you have read?
“Target Alex Cross” by James Patterson

If you woke up on a Friday to find you had the day off, how would you spend the day?
Probably something outdoors, whether that be yardwork or spending time with my dog. Also, I would work on building my baseball card collection.
